HELGA'S POEM 2
today at the school cafeteria at p.s. 118.
phoebe : Helga what are you doing on the floor
are you looking for your lunch money?
Helga : no phoebe, it's that it's bin one year and
six months since Arnold left and haven't gotten
any letters since then.
Helga : what may have happened to him,
is he sick did he caught some contagious decease
that every one's talk about on TV? Or is it that (Gasp)
NO!! I cant think of it, my Arnold with an other girl!!
(Helga's day dreaming)
Helga : no Arnold say that it's not so,
haven't I express my love to you in my words from
my poems and letters....
I want loose faith only and only if , I hear it from your
lips that you don't love me.
(at the play ground)
Stinky : we all missed Arnold even you Helga,
you was my girl friend once for two days
but I still remember the good side of yowl why
haven't yowl ever shown that good side to Arnold?
Helga : hay! Who told you that I like that foot ball head!
I'm glad that he's gone, I was tired of his face around hear,
And I will knock the litchis out of any one who says that
I ever liked that foot ball headed kid!!!
( then Helga terns and ran to the girls room )
Helga : is it possible that every one sees threw me?!
And knows about me?
some times I feel that every one's watching me
and knows every felling that I have for my dear Arnold?
Helga : ay rite get a grip Helga like this is just
A cartoon show and I'm the comic relief, ha ha.
(dragging paper on shoe)
( later after school )
Gerald : hay Phoebe,
why don't you and me get a bite
to eat ,I know a place that serves
great cheese burgers,
Phoebe : tee hee.
Helga : what's this Phoebe and Gerald?
( later that night at Helga's room)
I can't live on like this ,even my best friend
has found some one and is not afraid to show it
to the world so I have dissuaded I will do the very thing
that will change my hole life.
(the next morning Helga's parents read the note on Helgas door)
to Bob and Miriam, I must go fined Arnold and fined out the truth
so don't worry about me, I took my life savings from my piggy bank
I will be back by some time next week from Helga,
Miriam : truth what truth? And isn't Arnold a school friend of hers?!!
Bob : I'm going to have a long talk with that girl when she comes back!!
( three days have past have past as Helga finely reach wear Arnold lives)
Helga : well Helga girl, this is it the moment of truth,
I'm going to tell him how I feel about him,
listen to what he has to say ,
"THEN BEAT HIM UP FOR NOT WRITING ME BACK FOR SO LONG"!!!
( Helga then knock on the door then Arnold answered)
Hello who is it ? oh, Helga?!!
( then from the surprise and excitement Helga ran up to Arnold and kiss him)
( later that day Arnold walked Helga to the park)
Arnold : Helga this is for you I'm sorry that I haven't
answered your letters just that I was not shier
that it was really you that send me those love poems,
but why now? After all the times you treated me so bad?
Helga : oh Arnold I was to shy to admit it to you,
so I treated you so badly to hide my true feelings,
It was not till I lost you that I realized that I should have told you sooner,
Arnold : well after six months of poems I felt that I got to know
the real Helga and now that your here......
Helga will you be my girlfriend?
( Helga with tears of joy ) oh yes, yes with great joy!!!
